Wairuatanga Wananga, SOUTH AUCKLAND. Tuesday 17th July, 2018. Spaces are limited

Matekite/Tohunga - Wiremu Niania - Co-author of Award winning book, Collaborative and Indigenous Mental Health Therapy - Tataihono: Stories of Maori healing in Psychiatry, discusses in depth the vital role, he believes, Wairuatanga plays in recovery in this interactive workshop.

Whatever your professional focus, the wellness of Wairua is the key element that strengthens and enhances every area - mind, body and whanau and underpins every indigenous society. This wananga / workshop is designed for multiple practitioners and clinicians, for indigenous and non-indigenous mental health workers in different contexts, for clinical leaders, trainees and researchers, counsellors, church leaders and anyone concerned with the mental health and wellbeing of those in their communities.
